Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary
One of the wildlife Reserve of India is Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary. The forest of Sariska is dry and deciduous. The area was declared a sanctuary in 1955 and became a National Park in 1979. It is about 37-kms from Alwar,Rajasthan. It covers an approximate area of 765.80 sq kms.
Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary is home to Leopards, Wild Dogs, Tigers, Jungle Cat, Hyena, Jackal etc. It is also well known for Rhesus Monkeys, which are found in large numbers around Talvriksh. The birdlife include Grey Partridge, Bush Quail, Peafowl, Tree Pie, Golden backed Wood Pecker and the Great Indian Horned Owl. The best time to visit October to June.
Bandhavgarh National Park
It is one of the important wildlife reserve of India.Bandhavgarh National Park is located in Umaria District, Madhya Pradesh. It covers an approximate area of 105.40-sq-kms. Bandhavgarh National Park is surrounded thick forest. It is the place where white tigers were found. The main wildlife found in this area are Tigers, Leopards, Bears, Nilgai, Chausingha, Chital, Chinkara, Wild Boar and sometimes a Fox or Jackal. The best time to visit Bandhavgarh national park starts from Mid-November to June.
Corbett National Park
Corbett National Park was established to save the Indian tiger from extinction. Corbett National Park is located in the foothills of Himalayas. It is famous for its large number of Tigers, Elephants, Leopards and also Deer, Wild Boar, Leopard Cat, Jungle Cat and Fishing Cat, Sloth Bear, Black Bear. The area is surrounded by varied flora and fauna. The best time to visit Corbett National Park is from November 15 to June 15.
Bandipur National Park
The Bandipur National Park is one of the most fascinating area. This park is located in the foothills of Nilgiris. This wildlife reserve is blessed with moderate climate due to which its flora and fauna grow very easily. The main attractions of this area are Asian Elephants and Gaurs. The best time to visit April to October.
