Der ehemalige königliche Palast ist heute der Landtag des Bundeslandes Tripura. Dieses Stück schöner, eindrucksvoller Architektur bekam den Namen Udschayanta von dem großen Dichter Rabindranath Tagore, der enge Beziehungen zu der königlichen Familie Tripuras hatte. Der Palast - ein Gebäude im Indo-Sarazenischen Stil - wurde zwischen 1899 und 1901 von dem Maharadscha Radha Kishore Manikya errichtet. Er ist berühmt für seine Chinesische Kammer, und die Teiche und Brunnen, die ihn umgeben, reichern seine Schönheit noch weiter an.
Der Kundschban Palast und der Malancha Niwas sind die anderen wichtigen königlichen Gebäude, die von der Manikya Familie erbaut wurden. Mit diesen Gebäuden ist auch der Name Rabindranath Tagore verbunden.
