Diese einzigartigen Hoehlen sind ca 10 km von der Hill-Station Lonavala entfernt und befinden sich in der Naehe des Pune-Mumbai Highways.Sie werden als ultimativer Ausdruck von Satwahan- Kunst an den Hinayana Skulpturen angesehen.Diese Zwillingshoehlen sind wahrscheinlich die groessten Hoehlentempel in Maharaschtra.Diese Hoehlen wurden aus massivem Fels geschlagen und besitzen 37 achteckige Pfeiler von ausgesuchter Schoenheit.Jede Saeule steht in einem Wasserbassin.Einige der Pfeiler haben Verzierungen in Form von Figuren oder Elefanten .Diese Hoehlen sind ca 2000 Jahre alt und haben nichts von ihrer Attraktivitaet eingebuesst.Die Hill-Stationen von Lonavala und Khandala profitieren von diesen Hoehlen.
