Hierbei handelt es sich eigentlich um Friedhoefe fuer die Menschen,die fern der Heimat auf ihren Unternehmungen den Tod fanden.Rund um das Kataragama Tor gibt es armenische, hollaendische und englische Friedhoefe.Ausserdem gibt es ein riesiges mausoleum des Baron Adrian van Reede, der hier 1691 starb.Ganz in der Naehe der Gaerten liegt der Hafen und ist sicher sehenswert.Interessant ist auch die Alte englische Fabrik und die Anglikanische Kirche.
