Description:
Die vor der Mogul Zeit gebaute Festung steht 304 m über der Stadt. König Babur verbrachte hier eine Nacht und nahm den versteckten Schatz als Geschenk für seinen Sohn Humayun mit. Jehangir, Akbars Sohn, lebte während seines Exils auf dieser Festung. Dieser Ort nennt sich Salim Mahal. Die Festung wurde 1775 von Pratap Singh erobert. Es ist ein riesiger Bau mit 15 großen und 51 kleinen Türmen, 446 offenen Stellen, die von 8 unwahrscheinlich großen Türmen umgeben sind. Die Festung hat viele Tore - Suraj Pol, Lakshman Pol, Chand Pol, Jai Pol, Kishan Pol und Andheri Pol. Die Ruinen von Palästen wie Jal Mahal, Nikumbh Mahal und Salim Mahal mit dem Teich Surajkund und von vielen Tempeln findet man hier ebenfalls.
