Jahrhundert und war die Residenz der Peshwas.Es wurde von dem Zweiten Peshwa, Bajirao, gebaut.Dieses Gebaeude aus Holz besass wunderschoene Gemaelde und Schnitzereien.Es war der Sitz der Macht und erlangte grosse Bedeutung.Leider ist von diesem grossen Palast nichts uebrig, da er zweimal abgebrannt ist.Man sagt, dass er zu seiner Zeit der schoenste Palast im Deccan gewesen ist.
