Rangantha Temple

Dieser Tempel, kaum 200 m von der Stadt, ist der wichtigste Gebetsort in Nellore. Das Wasser des Rangasamudram Beckens umgibt den Tempel. Dem einheimischen Glauben nach ist dieser, dem Gott Ranganatha gewidmete Tempel, genau so wichtig wie der bekannte Tempel von Srirangam.
Das zehn tägige Fest Brahmotsavam, das jedes Jahr im Februar-März gefeiert wird, ist die wichtigste Veranstaltung in Nellore. Tausende von Gläubigen, besonders aus der Telangana Region und Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh, besuchen diesen heiligen Ort während dieses Festes.
