Wenn man diesen Ort besuchen moechte, nimmt man am besten einen Jeep.Die Fahrt fuehrt entlang des Flusses Periyar und man hat eine wunderbare Aussicht auf die sanften,gruenen Huegel.In dieser Gegend gibt es seltene Fauna und Flora.Von hier aus kann man sogar den beruehmten Sree Ayappa Tempel in Sabarimala und die Makara Jyothi Beleuchtung des Schreins erblicken.Da Pullumedu in einer der Oeffentlichkeit nicht zugaenglichen Zone liegt, muss man sich vor Antritt der Reise eine Genehmigung fuer den Besuch besorgen.Diese Genehmigung kann vom Wildlife Preservation Officer, Thekkady oder vom The Range Officer,Vallakkadavu, ausgestellt werden.
