Königin Padmini stand im Zenana Mahal, und Khilji sah ihr Spiegelbild in einem der Spiegel in der Haupthalle. Nachdem Khilji einen Blick auf die Königin geworfen hatte, verliebte er sich so sehr in sie, dass er Chittaur angriff.
