Description:
Dieses Meisterstück der Rajput Architektur aus rotem Sandstein wurde von Maharaja Ganga Singh (1881-1942) als Andenken an seinen Vater Maharaja Lall Singh gebaut. Von Sir Swinton Jacob entworfen, besteht dieser Palast aus großen Hallen, Pavillons, Foyers und Kuppeln. Er hat wunderbare Säulen, fein geschnitzte Kamine, italienische Wandelgänge, und blühende Lotus Motive. Die Wände des Palastes erinnern einen an alte Zeiten, mit Jagd Pokalen und Gemälden. Der Palast hat sein eigenes Museum, das das viertgrößte der Welt ist. Die königliche Familie lebt heute noch in einem Teil des Palastes.
