The other category is the Punnamada, which is eco-friendly and constructed of interlocking bricks. Totally, there are 48 marvellous Malabar style rooms and 20 breathtaking quaint villas, all on the banks of the lagoon facing the lake.

Kerala is well known the world over for its scenic beauty. In a landscape unique to Kerala, hundreds of interlinked canals weave their way between paddy fields spilling into the palm fringed lakes. At Lakesong, an intricate lacework of canals intersect the 5 acre waterfront property. There are 28 quaint cottages, all constructed on the banks of the inland canals. A neatly laid out gabled cottages and rooms with 4 Star Cottage amenities. It has tiled roof and un-plastered exteriors which are reminiscent of the traditional houses. They blend into the lush green landscaped grounds harmoniously. The interiors are roomy and comfortable. All accommodations have air conditioning and are well appointed with cable TV, direct-dial telephone and wi-fi technology. The rooming arrangements have been categorized into three Types. Vembanadu, Ashtamudi and Punnamada. "The Vembanadu and Ashtamudi Villas are constructed of Laterite rocks and Punnamada cottages are constructed of interlocking brickworks" Lakesong accommodations have all modern amenities for a comfortable stay.
