ist die Verwaltungszentrale des Landkreises Lahaul und Spiti. Es liegt 3156 m über Meereshöhe und ist die wichtigste Station auf der Handelsstrecke zwischen dem Rohatang La und dem Baralacha Pass über dem Bhaga Fluss.
Keylong ist wie eine Oase in dieser kalten Wüste. Die Stadt ist kommerziell gut eingerichtet und hat einen regulären Markt. Drei prominente Klöster - Khardong, Tayul und Shashur - liegen in der Nähe. Das Khardong Kloster, kaum 4 km von Keylong, hat viele alte Gebetsmühlen, Malerei, alte Waffen, musikalische Instrumente und eine Buddha Statue in Lebensgröße.
