Dieses Naturschutzgebiet befindet sich im Distrikt Tirunelveli am Fusse der Western Ghats.Es beansprucht eine Flaeche von 223 qkm.Botaniker und Ornithologen kommen gerne hierher, um die unglaubliche Vielfalt von Fauna und Flora zu studieren.Ein weiteres Schutzgebiet, das Mundanthurai Wildlife Sanctuary, liegt ganz in der Naehe.Hier ruehmt man sich von Laubbaeumen ueber Sumpfgebiete und Reet einfach alles zu haben, allerdings gibt es hier weder Elefanten noch Gaurs.
