In der Gegend um Pune gibt es viele Plaetze von religioeser Bedeutung.In Jejuri (48 km von Pune) gibt es einen alten Tempel, der auf einem Huegel liegt und Mhalsakant oder Malhari Martand gewidmet ist, der eine Form Shivas ist.Um den Tempel zu erreichen, muss man ca 200 Stufen hinaufklettern, aber man wird durch den Anblick der schoenen, uralten Khandoba-Statue im Tempel belohnt.
