Diese groesste Moschee Kashmirs wurde um 1400 von Sultan Sikandar errichtet, dessen Sohn den Bau spaeter erweiterte.Die Moschee ist nicht nur einmal abgebrannt, sondern gleich dreimal und wurde jedes mal wieder aufgebaut.Bis heute stehen die massiven Saeulen aus Pinienholz, die auf wunderbare Weise von der Feuersbrunst verschont geblieben sind.In dieser Moschee finden 10000 Namazis Platz.
