Dieses ist ein alter Seehafen in Midnapur.Seine Geschichte ist die von Moslems und Briten.Im Jahre 1687 besiegte Job Charnock, der Gruender der britischen Niederlassung in Kolkata, hier die Einheimischen und legte den Grundstein fuer die Vormacht der Briten in Indien.Dieser Ort liegt am Zusammenfluss von Rasulpur und Hooghly und kann nur mit einer Faehre von Dariapur erreicht werden.In Hijli gibt es die Moschee Masnad- I-Ala, die in den Jahren 1648-49 gebaut worden ist.In dieser Stadt kann man auch den 400- Jahre alten Tempel Joramandir of Jagganath, der auch Zwillingstempel des Herrn des Universums genannt wird.
