10 km östlich von Jaipur, auf der Straße nach Agra, liegen, in einer Schlucht versteckt, eine Reihe von Pavillons, Tempeln und Teichen. Die Legende sagt, dass vor Jahrhunderten der Heilige Galva hier seine Buße vergolten hat. Ein Tempel zu der Sonne steht auf einem Gipfel in der Nähe. Das Wasser der Quellen soll heilbare Kräfte haben. Dies zieht auch viele Wallfahrer an.
Der Galta Tempel wird von der Birla Familie finanziell unterstützt. In diesem Gebäude stehen Tempel auf der linken und rechten Seite, mit schallenden Trommeln und Glocken. Hinter den Tempeln sind die Tanks, die man Kund nennt.
