1. Tsomgo Lake:
Nur ca 40 km von Gangtok entfernt liegt der Tsomgo See.Der Name bedeutet "Quelle des Sees" in der Sprache Bhutia.Diese Oase der Ruhe befindet sich auf einer Hoehe von 3780 m, der See selbst ist 15 m tief und 1 km lang.Im Winter friert dieser ovale See vollstaendig zu.Von Mai bis August bluehen an seinem Ufer die verschiedensten Blumen, und die Gegend hier ist der Lebensraum des Roten Pandas.

2. Nathula: Die Attraktion hier ist der Nathula- Pass, der auf einer Hoehe von mehr als 4000 m liegt.Die tibetische Grenze ist ganz in der Naehe und es handelt sich hier um eine der am hoechsten gelegenen, befahrbaren Strassen der Welt.Die Umgebung ist eine Augenweide.
