( 19 km von Shimoga) Die Stahlstadt Bhadravati befindet sich am Fluss Bhadra.Hier wurde die erste staatseigene Eisen-und Stahlfabrik im Jahre 1923 in Betrieb genommen, im Jahr 1936 folgte eine Papierfabrik.Das Visveswaraya Stahlwerk und die Mysore Papierfabrik bieten einen guten Einblick in die komplexen Ablaeufe der Eisen, - Stahl,- und Papierherstellung.Im Zentrum der Altstadt findet man einen Lakshminarasimha-Tempel aus dem 13. Jh, welcher aus der Hoysala-Aera stammt.Ausserdem kann man eine wunderschoene Ganapathi Statue bewundern, die eine Hoehe von 92 cm hat.
