Description:
Die Amer Festung wurde von Raja Man Singh im 16. Jahrhundert auf einem Hügel gebaut, und ist eine interessante Mischung von Hindu und Moslem Architektur. Der Bau wurde 1592 von Raja Mansingh I angefangen und von seinem Nachfolger Jai singh I beendet. Das Äußere der Festung ist felsig; das Innere bezaubert mit der Fusion der Hindu und Moslem Architektur. An den Wänden sieht man gemalte, mit Edelstein geschmückte Bilder und eingebaute Spiegel. Vor der Festung liegt der Maota See, der glänzend auf die Festung reflektiert.
